International Baccalaureate Diploma Program from IB school

IB DP is a rigorous 2-year program that results in personal and academic development and after successful completion students receive a globally recognized diploma.

The IB program in GIIS Tokyo is open to any student aged 16 to 19.

The IBDP Programme comprises 3 core components:-

● Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

● Extended Essay

● Creativity, Action and Service (CAS)

It also has six broad subject groups which students have to choose to develop specialised knowledge and skills in topics that interest them the most.

Note:-  

1. Students can opt for additional subjects from the same group instead of arts.

2. Students have to take some subjects at a higher level (HL) which take 240 teaching hours and some at a standard level (SL)which take up to 150 teaching hours.

3. Each student has to take 3 subjects but not more than 4 at a higher level and the remaining at a standard level.
