Why choose Cambridge?

The Cambridge curriculum stands out as an international curriculum that is known as a  stimulating programme that encourages creative thinking, inquiry, and problem-solving skills. It offers a diverse selection of subjects and provides abundant teaching and learning resources. The curriculum uses various assessment methods, including written, oral, listening — ensuring a well-rounded evaluation of the student abilities.

Moreover, it is globally recognised by top universities, making it an excellent choice for students aiming for higher education on an international level.

Cambridge curriculum at GIIS

At GIIS, we offer the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (CLSP) starting in Grades 6-8. This is an excellent foundation that naturally leads into our Upper Secondary Programme, the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), for Grades 9-10.

What’s special about Cambridge curriculum is that there’s strong emphasis on practical skills and real-world knowledge, ensuring students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for the future, both inside and outside the classroom.

Seamless transition from Cambridge Pathway to IBDP at GIIS

At GIIS, we prepare students for success in a global economy with academic pathways designed to develop essential 21st century skills. Our Cambridge IGCSE programme in Grades 9 and 10 serves as an excellent foundation for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Grades 11 and 12.

Both IBDP and Cambridge IGCSE are recognised internationally for their academic rigour, fostering a global perspective and encouraging critical thinking. The IGCSE encourages students to explore, question, and expand their understanding, which perfectly sets the stage for the in-depth research and critical thinking required in the IBDP.

Springboard for global citizens

For more than 20 years, GIIS Singapore has acted as a springboard for students to advance to prestigious universities worldwide –  including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UC Berkeley, UCLA, NUS, and several others. GIIS’s robust alumni network is spread across diverse fields such as law, medicine, engineering and more.

Ranked among the top 100 Global IB Schools, GIIS SMART Campus has consistently attained impressive IB Diploma Programme results with over 112 World Toppers and Near-Perfect scorers and a consistent School Average of over 36 points till date. Moreover, over 300 GIIS students have been successfully placed in the Top 20 universities (as per QS World University rankings) globally.
