Things to Do This Long Weekend

Youth Day, 3 July 2022 (following Monday, 4 Jul, will be a school holiday) (Long Weekend: 2-4 July)

There are many things that one can do on Youth Day, 3 July, 2022. As 3rd July is a Sunday and 4 July a school holiday the kids can really let their hair down. They can have sleepovers at their friends and cousins places or go visit the Night Safari. Mini golfing at Holy Moley or a visit to Cosmic Bowling at K Bowling would be a good idea too. They could also try out the obstacle course at NERF Action Xperience.

Teacher’s Day, 2 September 2022 (Long Weekend: 2-4 Sept)

Apart from sending across greetings to all their favorite teachers, the young students can have a blast over the long weekend going out to play with their friends or have extended family outings with their families. Among the things that one can do is visit the Arts Science Museum or the fantastic Gardens by the Bay. One could visit We are the Furballs and cuddle with cute puppies.

Children’s Day, 7 October 2022 (Long Weekend: 7-9 Oct)

Now this is one weekend that truly belongs to the littles ones. This is true of international schools as well all IGCSE schools in the island nation. The kids can be taken to the movies, experiencing winter at Snow City or experience underwater life at the glorious SEA aquarium. They can also go visiting cousins and grandparents to get to know their family.

Deepavali, 24 October 2022 (Long Weekend: 22-24 Oct)

This is that time of the year when children can gorge on sweets, wear new clothes and have a great time with one’s family. They can help in creating colourful rangolis out of flower petals, rice and flour at the threshold of the home. That apart, the families can together participate in art installations, treasure hunts and fiestas.

Conclusion

Any child growing up in Singapore knows that there is a world of fun activities that they can participate in the island nation. From night safaris to enchanting bay gardens to wonderous snowy winter landscape and a game of mini golf, there is no place like Singapore in the world to educate, regale and entertain children. In fact, there would be scarcely any other place in the world that is as much fun as Singapore is.

As much as Singapore is known for the strictness with which it raises children, it does provide them with the means to let their hair down as well. Being a first world country it has a range of world class amenities and facilities to enable both the children and adults alike.
