The Singapore education system has an expedient approach. Formal school education in Singapore begins from the Primary School years starting at age 7. However, the majority of children attend preschool in private international schools as pre primary education is not mandated by the government. Preschool education in Singapore comprises two broad sectors, the child care sector managed by Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and Kindergartens registered under the MOE.

Age Criteria for Kindergarten Admission
Children between the age of 3 years are eligible to start Montessori in Singapore GIIS campuses. Students of age 3 - 5 are given the choice of joining at Singapore nursery school, K1 and K2 levels where they are introduced to lessons, theories and concepts by qualified teachers within an impactful learning environment. Early childhood is a crucial phase of student development. Students during these years need to have a holistic learning for overall development. Preschool education plays an important role in the emotional, social and physical development of a student.
Preschool creates a joyful learning experience for students as they take up age-appropriate activities that will help them to be established learners in the future.
The objectives of preschool education include:

When a child reaches the age of 4 years between 1st of September of that year and July 1st of the following year, the child must start education in September of the following year.

GIIS preschool caters to nursery and kindergarten school levels. The age criteria are as follows:
● Nursery- 2.5 years and above
● Junior KG or KG 1- 3 years and above as of 31st March

Parents seeking to avail the bus facility needs to check in which Zone they come under and choose the preference of pick and drop. The Transportation fee depends on these two parameters. Bus fee can be paid term-wise.

GIIS offers convenient modes of payment like GIRO, cashier order, cash, cheque, NETS, credit, and debit cards. Online payment can be done through Stripe, and QR code under PayNow. Cheques need to be addressed in favor of ‘GLOBAL INDIAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PTE LTD.’
For the cancellation of transportation services a full one-month notice should be given to the school. The cancelation can be made through the MYGIIS portal in the section ‘School – School Bus – Request Start/Stop Service’.
The value-added programmes offered by GIIS are:
1. Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics or STEAM kit that includes 8 experiments to be used by the students for the academic year.
2. Hey Math! is an online tool that helps students understand Math and chisel their Mathematical skills at an early age.
GIIS provides campus tour facility for prospective parents and students. Parents can pre-register for this tour that can be a personal visit or a virtual one.
