This World Chess Day, GIIS Nagpur became a witness to sharp minds, steady nerves, and brilliant strategies as we hosted the Taluka Level School Chess Competition 2025 at our Lava campus. Organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Maharashtra State, and supported by the District Sports Council and the District Sports Officer’s Office, this event brought together 333 students from over 30 schools.
The sight was electric. Chessboards lined up, pawns ready, and eyes focused. This wasn’t just a tournament. It was a celebration of intelligence, sportsmanship, and growth.
