行动如何促进 GIIS 小学课程的学习

当今世界瞬息万变,重要的是让学生在实践中学习,根据自己的探究和经验寻找问题的答案。国际文凭小学学年项目(IB PYP)是一个鼓励小学生成为独立学习者并培养他们热爱学习的框架。

为什么学生必须采取行动?

在国际文凭项目中,"行动 "在学习过程中发挥着不可或缺的作用,我们鼓励学生根 据自己的学习和对现实世界问题的理解采取行动。

根据PYP,行动应始终是真实的、有意义的和用心的。对学生来说,行动可以有多种形式,如改变自己的生活,在学校或当地社区采取行动,或倡导解决更大的社会问题。通过采取行动,学生可以展示他们的理解能力,并运用所学知识创造积极的变化。

增强学生在PYP中采取行动的能力可带来短期和长期的益处,例如

有效利用代理权的能力,包括发言权、选择权和所有权。 学生如果能表达自己的选择,并能个性化自己的学习体验,就能加深对概念的理解,并在理论与实践之间建立有意义的联系。

参与全球环境的能力。我们经常鼓励学生采取行动造福他人,这可以让他们对周围的世界有更多的了解,而这些了解可能是他们在其他方面所不具备的。

跨文化理解。同样的行动往往能让学生与不同背景的人建立联系。当行动在多元文化环境中得到优先考虑时,学生就会变得更具文化意识和责任感。

国际意识。 行动可以培养学生与他人的共鸣感,鼓励他们跳出自己的圈子,放眼世界。

学生在 GIIS 开展 "PYP "行动

环球印度国际学校,小学生课程的学生们每天都在学校采取行动,发挥他们的能动性。学生们在社区中采取行动的例子不胜枚举,以下是最近的一个例子。

GIIS 的三年级学生正在学习一个关于社区的单元。该单元的中心思想是 "人们在社区中接受角色和责任,以体现归属感"。学生们探讨了自己在社区中的角色,并观察了周围其他社区的角色。

三年级的一名学生看到公寓外的清洁工在炎热和潮湿的天气条件下在户外工作,她认为自己可以在社区振兴方面发挥作用。 她召集了几个朋友,提出了一个想法,希望能做一些清洁工会感激的事情。

除了组织募捐活动为清洁工购买小礼物外,这位 GIIS 学生还和她的朋友们一起主动写感谢信、准备家常菜和礼品袋,并在她的公寓分发给社区工作人员。

通过 PYP 展览展示学习和行动

五年级的所有PYP 学生都有一个最终的学习经历,即他们的年终PYP 展览。通过展览,学生应展示出他们对毅进计划所有要素的理解。

GIIS 的学生几乎整整一年都在为设计一个探究过程做准备,这个过程可以利用他们的激情和优势,也可以源于他们的担忧。

然后,五年级学生以他们认为合适的任何形式展示他们的展览:诗歌、展板、戏剧或将展览空间变成模拟机场、时装店或音乐会场。让他人了解并关注他们的特定兴趣或事业也是PYP项目中的一种行动方式。

2023 年,PYP 在 GIIS、SMART 校园举办了一些有趣的展览,其中包括 "快速时尚的危害",学生向与会者提问快速时尚和可持续时尚品牌之间的区别,同时提出了其他时尚选择。另一个展览讲述了手机信号塔对鸟类的影响,引用了实际研究的统计数字和数据。

另一个展品是网络欺凌的例子,展示了在网上应该做什么和不应该做什么,这也迎合了许多小学生的需求。从这些展品中,我们可以清楚地看到学生们的热情,他们选择了自己的兴趣或事业,并通过展览进行宣传。
