With a customised Montessori curriculum, GIIS caters to children who are 4 years old as of 31st March (Kindergarten 1) and 5 years old as of 31st March (Kindergarten 2). The Plus is all about NextGen learning. It focuses on future-ready programmes with hands-on experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). This curriculum helps in the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and other mental abilities.
In the iCare programme students are taught to care for the environment and community. We help students to learn the essence of nature with green initiatives and through charitable deeds and community service events, we teach them the importance of universal values.
In thematic learning, the teaching will be centered around a particular topic, idea, or theme and the activities will be centered around this theme. Through interactive activities, we help to build the inherent characteristics and intellectual capabilities of the students.
There are various events and one-on-one sessions held to communicate with parents. The MYGIIS portal enhances the collaboration between parents and teachers. Other modes of communication would be PTM, orientation sessions, and weekly class updates.
Teachers directly provide feedback to parents on the progress of the student through Parent-teacher meetings and Meet-and-Greet sessions.
The admissions at GIIS are open to students throughout the year. The review happens in the month of January every year. Admission forms can be downloaded from the GIIS website.
GIIS follows an organized admission process. Every student needs to undergo a few steps to get admission here. Once you enquire about the details you can visit the campus for the admission process. Fill in the application form and submit it along with the relevant documents. Then a counseling session is arranged and after that, a student assessment is conducted. Then the registration fee needs to be paid. Once the admission is confirmed then the first term fee has to be paid.
In GIIS the fees can be paid either annually or in three terms and is applicable for:
● Term 1-April to June
● Term 2-September to December
● Term 3-January to March.
Yes, a transportation facility is available and the fee needs to be paid for the entire year along with the first term fee. The fee depends upon the distance traveled by the student to and fro.
At GIIS we provide parent forums like the GIIS Parent Ambassadors and the Friends of GIIS who work with the school.
Special events like Sports Day and Annual Day are held to showcase students’ talent. Special days are held in the pre-primary sections where parents are involved in activities like storytelling, class projects, drama lessons, etc., while grandparents are made a part of the special event held as the Grandparents’ Day.
