Global Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GCIE)
GCIE is designed to provide an innovation-first environment where students experiment, build, and innovate across domains like AI, robotics, media, and entrepreneurship.
Programmes under GCIE
GCIE is tailored to engage learners from Kindergarten to Grade 12, ensuring a progression of skills and mindset. With a blend of technology, mentorship and challenge-based learning, GCIE transforms ideas into action. GIIS Abu Dhabi takes pride in being a catalyst for 21st-century innovation through this unique initiative.
GIIS Qutuhal – The Journey of Curiosity
Qutuhal represents the student’s intellectual journey from wonder to discovery through active, tech-driven STEM learning. Qutuhal Prime, a 7-month in-house innovation competition at GIIS Abu Dhabi challenges students to engage in weekly research, develop AI-based prototypes, and present working models using robotics kits and machine learning platforms.
In parallel, Q7, a 9-week external programme welcomes participants from across the UAE and GSG schools to engage in collaborative, cross-campus innovation. The programme cultivates scientific literacy, empowers experimentation, and prepares students for a world shaped by technology.
AI & Robotics
This programme introduces students to the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in a structured, hands-on format. Learners explore foundational concepts using MBots, BeeBots, Arduino, and AI-powered coding environments. They build and program smart machines that simulate automation, learning the ethics and future impact of AI along the way.
WINGS – Women Inspiring Next Generation STEAM
WINGS is a dedicated platform to empower girls in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Workshops and mentorship sessions introduce students to AI, coding, digital art, and innovation leadership. WINGS cultivates next-gen innovators by offering real-world projects and peer collaboration opportunities.
Space Troopers - Rocketry Club
This club allows students to explore space science, rocketry, and astrophysics. Through hands-on experiments and guided simulations, learners build model rockets and study celestial phenomena. Space Troopers cultivates curiosity about the universe while strengthening STEM skills.
MASTER – Next Generation Learning
The MASTER programme empowers students to address real-life problems through empathetic innovation. Each project begins with identifying a community need and ideating a tech-driven solution through workshops. MASTER promotes global citizenship by focusing on sustainability, accessibility, and social impact.
