Key Stage 2 syllabus or Upper Primary is a four-year programme during which teachers introduce students to advanced levels of skills in all subject areas.

Students completing Year 6 of Key Stage 2 are also assessed via the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint examinations, following which they are rewarded with a certification of achievement. This stage reflects the advanced aspects of the igcse primary curriculum and prepares students for secondary education challenges.
Exceptional Academic Results
To offer real and lasting value to our students enrolled in private schools in Kuala Lumpur, we follow a flexible, linear assessment structure to offer a fair and valid evaluation of the students’ progress across the Cambridge Key Stages 1 and 2 programmes. Regular assessments allow us to identify the abilities and gaps in every student, so we can support them in areas they are lacking in.
The right teacher-student ratio can be a remarkable contributor to the academic success of many students. As a low ratio can significantly improve student engagement, we ensure to accept a limited number of students in each class so that they can enjoy balanced growth under the teachers’ mindful supervision.

Parents’ Perspectives: Here’s What Parents Say About Us
As a proud GIIS KL alumna (CBSE, Class of 2017–18), I truly believe my journey began with the strong foundation I received at school. GIIS KL not only focused on academic excellence but also shaped me into a strategic thinker and a confident, empathetic individual. With the guidance and support of my teachers, I was able to gain admission to Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, and today, I serve as a Dental Officer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Faculty of Dentistry. My teachers played a pivotal role in nurturing my discipline, resilience, and emphatic me, qualities that I strongly old in my professional life. GIIS KL does more than prepare students for exams, it nurtures future-ready individuals with purpose, compassion, and the confidence to pursue their dreams. I am truly grateful to be part of this community.

Dr. Sevanthi Munisamy
(CBSE, Class of 2017-18)As a proud alumna of GIIS KL, I truly believe the foundation of who I am today began during my years at the school. After leaving GIIS KL, I pursued my studies at the University of Reading in the UK, and today I’m working as a Marketing Specialist with Marcus Evans, a global company. Stepping into an international university environment and later into an International global corporate setting felt natural to me , because GIIS KL had already prepared me for it. The diverse environment at GIIS KL exposed me to different cultures, perspectives, and ideas from a young age. It helped me become adaptive, open-minded, and confident in engaging with people from all walks of life. The discipline instilled through academics and co-curricular activities shaped my work ethic, while classroom discussions and presentations built the confidence I carry into every meeting and project today.

Kishantini Ganasan
(Alumna 2018)As the 2025 IGCSE Top Scorer with 10A*, I’m incredibly grateful for the journey that brought me here. This achievement wasn’t something I accomplished on my own. Iit was the result of hard work, constant guidance, and the unwavering support of my teachers and family. My teachers at GIISKL played one of the biggest roles in my success. They didn’t just teach; they truly inspired me. Every lesson was engaging and clear, and they always took the time to explain concepts until I fully understood them. Whenever I faced challenges, they were patient and approachable, offering extra help, useful resources, and the motivation I needed to keep going. Their passion for their subjects sparked my own interest, which made learning enjoyable and helped me perform well academically.

Global Indian International School is quite well known among the Indian community in Malaysia. It has great facilities while compared to other international schools and the fees are quite reasonable. Both my daughters go to GIIS. We are very happy and my children will continue in GIIS for the coming years.

Teachers are really friendly and professional. They do not overburden the students with a lot of homework and mentor them with patience and kindness. No student is treated differently here. My son was really weak in math and Mandarin but the way he has been coping up in these two subjects is outstanding. Special thanks to both the subject teachers and I am really grateful for their undivided attention towards my son.

Pallaav Sethi
GIIS is one of the best international schools in Malaysia, and it delivers on all the promises. The fee structure is transparent, and the parent interaction is on point. Teachers make sure that there are no communication gaps and always give constructive feedback regarding our son. The suggestions are easy to apply and have helped our son immensely. I will give it 5/5 stars as the best international school in Malaysia.
