At GIIS, one of the best schools in Kuala Lumpur, we have introduced many events and activities to encourage and actively promote a student’s overall holistic and well-rounded personality development and help them find, build, and pursue their talent outside of academics.

Admission Open for Academic Year 2024-25

School Events

Several special events at GIIS are celebrated in our school, which aid in improving bonding in students while allowing them to showcase their talent and excellence.

Our 9GEMS(TM) holistic learning framework also emphasises the need to organise age-appropriate events and activities so as to allow students to explore inherent talents in sports, performing arts, entrepreneurship and community service.

Calendar Activities

GIIS calendar activities and events, such as Annual Day and Sports Day, are held each year to allow students to showcase their talent in sports and co-curricular related activities.

Students from all four Houses participate in these activities, and compete against each other for the highest award; which in turn builds their character, sense of camaraderie, and motivates them to win for collective pride.

Special Days

Special days and school events are held in all classes, which aim to strengthen bonds between students and their extended families, and boost the GIIS student life.

Parents often participate in classroom activities such as story-telling sessions, class projects and drama lessons. Apart from this, our school uses parents' expertise in different sectors to spread awareness among students through talks and experience-sharing sessions. We also organise parent-teacher conferences and school carnivals to encourage parents and the school to connect with each other and promote the joint mission of holistic development of students.

In addition, parents also participate or volunteer their time to help the school through logistical support like technical setup for sound and lights, or as helping hands during school trips.
