在 GIIS,我们相信通过创新的实践活动,将乐趣与有影响力的学习结合起来,培养学生的全面发展。其中一项名为 "字母变文字 "的活动旨在整合所有社会情感学习(SEL)能力--自我意识、自我管理、社交意识、人际关系技巧和负责任的决策--同时促进团队合作、解决问题和创造力。

实践活动在教授 SEL 能力方面发挥着至关重要的作用,因为它们将抽象概念转化为实际经验。在实践中学习 "能让学生与活动产生情感联系,从而加深对所学技能的理解和保持。

加强自我管理和社会意识

下面是 "从字母到单词 "活动在三个引人入胜的回合中的展开情况:

第一轮:压力下的团队合作,学生分组,给他们 5-6 个字母,让他们在两分钟内尽可能多地组成单词。在这一阶段,学生们学会了在压力下集中注意力和有效管理时间,从而增强了自我管理能力。它还鼓励自我意识,帮助参赛者认识到自己的独特优势和贡献,以及负责任的决策,因为各小组要制定策略,最大限度地提高分数,同时避免因字母使用不足而受到惩罚。

第二轮:成功交易,鼓励学生与其他小组交换字母,组成更多的单词。这一轮强调社会意识,因为学生们在谈判过程中会考虑他人的需求和目标;还强调关系技巧,因为团队内部和团队之间的有效沟通与合作是成功的关键。各小组还进行了负责任的决策,战略性地决定交换哪些字母以获得最佳结果。

第三轮是最后阶段:反思意义 "涉及讨论所形成单词的含义,加深参与度并增加词汇量。这一阶段培养了学生的自我意识,鼓励他们对自己的学习进行反思,还培养了他们的社会意识,因为他们对同伴的解释和想法有了更深入的了解。它还加强了合作和批判性思维,培养了创造力和共同的成就感。

这次活动不仅仅是一次组词练习,更是一次对 SEL 能力的实际应用。学生们通过在小组环境中了解自己的优势来发展自我意识,通过在时间限制下高效工作来磨练自我管理,并通过在交易和讨论中尊重他人的观点来增强社会意识。此外,通过团队合作和积极互动,他们的人际关系技能得到了加强,而负责任的决策则帮助他们评估选择并做出战略决策。

这样的实践活动体现了我们对全人教育的承诺。无论是通过 "关系之花 "活动在PYP 5培养学生的感恩之心,还是在PYP 3鼓励学生发现自我,或是通过Mindler心理测试引导CBSE 9和CBSE 10的职业志向,我们为学生量身定制的课程都能让他们掌握基本的生活技能。从字母到文字 "等活动确保我们的学生成长为有韧性、有同理心、有前瞻性思维的人,为在瞬息万变的世界中茁壮成长做好准备。
