为什么成长型思维模式对学生很重要?

在GIIS,我们鼓励学习IB文凭课程的学生采用成长型思维模式。拥有成长型思维模式的学生热爱学习,乐于接受新的挑战,从而提高抗挫折能力。

与此相反,采用固定思维模式的学生可能会回避风险。失败后,他们可能不愿再试一次。固定型思维模式的特征包括

是什么影响了孩子们对自己的看法?

如果失败了,他们会再试一次。他们认为失败并不可怕。相反,他们认为失败是学习过程的必要组成部分。这些学生不太可能设定不切实际的期望,而更有可能以实验的态度来处理问题。与其说 "这永远不会成功",他们更愿意思考 "我怎样才能用不同的方法使它成功?

拥有成长型思维模式的学生似乎在心理层面上也比拥有固定型思维模式的学生感觉更好。

家长如何鼓励成长型思维

在家里,你可以做很多事情来帮助孩子培养成长型思维,但其中最重要的是培养自己的成长型思维。要想有效地帮助孩子充分发挥潜能,你必须首先相信这是可能的。为此,只要改变一下你提供反馈的方式,就会大有帮助。

不要表扬孩子有多聪明,而要表扬他们为完成任务所付出的努力。把注意力转移到孩子完成目标的过程上,而不是他们取得的结果上。

在孩子解决问题和设计答案的过程中,称赞他们的坚持不懈和策略的运用,并将关注点从他们取得的成就转移到他们是如何取得成就的。

鼓励您的孩子在学习上冒险并犯错误。毕竟,犯的错误越多,他们的适应能力就越强。错误也是绝佳的学习机会。
