IGCSE assessments and grading
IGCSE students are graded on a scale from A* to G, with the grading system widely recognised by universities globally. The assessments, designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of a student’s learning status, include:
● Two Cyclic Tests (CTs)
● Semester 1 exams
● Pre-board exams
● Semester 2 exams
● Cyclic Test 3
Exams are held between May and June, with Hindi exams occurring in November. The assessment methods include written exams, oral exams, listening, and coursework, allowing teachers to personalise the learning experience and support each student’s progress.

The Cambridge Pathway at GIIS
At GIIS, students can enroll in the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (CLSP) for Grades 6-8, which naturally progresses to the Upper Secondary programme – IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) for Grades 9-10.
