GIIS proudly presents the prestigious Global Future Ready Merit Scholarship, an exclusive opportunity for high-achieving and deserving students beyond the GSG community. This merit-based scholarship aims to recognize academic excellence and nurture future-ready global citizens by supporting students on their educational journey.
The scholarship award is based on age-appropriate assessments, which include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in English, Mathematics & Science. Students currently studying in Grades 4 to 8 may apply for admission into Grades 5 to 9 for the Academic Year 2026–27. Students currently in Grade 10 may apply for IBDP Year 1 or CBSE Grade 11.

Eligibility Criteria:
- The scholarship is exclusively available to Non-GSG students applying for Grades 5 to 9 and Grade 11 for Academic Year 2026–27
- Grade 5 to 9: Selection will be based on an Online or Pen & Paper examination for students currently in Grades 4 to 8
- Grade 11: Selection will be based on Grade 10 Mid-Term and Annual examination results
- One-to-One Interview: Shortlisted candidates who qualify in the written assessment will be required to attend a one-to-one interview
- Scholarship Validity: The scholarship is valid for one academic year AY 2026–27.For grade 9 joining students the scholarship can be extended for another academic year (AY 2027-28) based on the academic performance of the student.
- Disclosure: GSG reserves the right to publish and disclose the list of scholarship recipients.

Step 1: Application: Eligible candidates must submit the online application form. There is no application or examination fee.
Step 1A: Documentation: Upload all required supporting documents as part of the application process.
Step 2: Assessment: Candidates will undergo an Online (Outside China) or Pen & Paper assessment (China) in English, Mathematics, and Science.
Step 2A: Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a one-to-one interview, conducted online or face-to-face.
Step 3: Scholarship Approval & Intimation: Applications will be reviewed, and scholarship decisions will be finalized.
Step 4: Notification: Successful applicants will be notified via email.
VALIDITY
1. The scholarship will be valid for a period as per the tenure specified in the respective scholarship descriptions. There is no cash or other alternative to the scholarship in whole or in part, unless otherwise provided in school’s sole and unfettered discretion.
2. The Scholarship is as stated and is non-exchangeable, cannot be substituted and is non-transferable.
3. The scholarship is a benefit applicable for Non GSG students only and is non- transferrable.
SCHOLARSHIP TERMS
1. During any academic year, if the student is already a recipient of any scholarship/benefit, then the student shall not be deemed eligible for new scholarships or fee related benefits announced for that Academic year. In short, a student cannot apply for newly announced scholarships or added fee related benefits during the present academic year in case he/she has already received a scholarship for that academic year. At any given time, a student can avail only one fee related benefit, either subsidy or scholarship
2. The parent of a successful applicant is required to execute a scholarship DEED as acceptance of the scholarship within 7 working days from the date of notification of scholarship results.
3. Students who avail the scholarship are required to complete the full academic term
4. The scholarship is applicable on tuition fees and is not applicable on one time registration fees, transport/bus fees, uniform and miscellaneous fees etc.
5. Students receiving the scholarships must pay their fees in accordance with the Terms and Conditions set up by the school. Payment should be made via GIRO.
6. The annual scholarship amount applicable for the relevant academic year will be adjusted in Term 3 invoices.
7. If any scholarship recipient is required to leave the school in the middle of the academic term, they shall not be entitled to scholarship for that academic term.
TERMINATION
1. In case if partial, wrong, and misleading information is provided, scholarship will be considered null and void. The scholarship amount which is already credited will have to be refunded back to the school. The school has the right to terminate the scholarship without notice.
2. The scholarship may be withdrawn at any time if, in the opinion of the school, the scholarship holder’s progress or behaviour is deemed unsatisfactory. The scholarship will be monitored, and the applicant will be required to maintain good conduct.
BRAND PARTICIPATION
1. Scholarship recipients are required to take on the role of student ambassador or any other similar role representing GIIS to give publicity talks and testimonials as and when called upon to do so.
2. Scholars will be required to take part in community involvement programmes or projects deemed appropriate and/or directed by the school.
RIGHTS
1. Scholarship Committee’s decision is final for allocation of scholarships
2. No legal action can be taken in disputes in which claims are raised against school as to annulment, revision, or the issue of examination results.
3. Scholarship Committee reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time and the current version can be found on the school’s website.
4. Scholarship Committee reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Scholarship programme in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the Scholarship programme is not capable of being conducted as specified within these Terms and Conditions.
5. Scholarship Committee failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions in a given instance shall not constitute the waiver of such provision
6. Scholarship Committee may, at its sole discretion, add further stages to the selection process for the Scholarship programme as it deems reasonably necessary in order to resolve any problems arising as a result of such actions.
7. By signing the acceptance form for the scholarships, you explicitly agree to these terms and conditions of the scholarships.
