GLOBAL FUTURE READY MERIT SCHOLARSHIP ( for Non-GIIS Students)

For a limited-time, Global Future Ready Merit Scholarship is open to students in Singapore outside the GIIS community. This merit-based scholarship will be available to middle school students (Grades 6-9) for Academic Year 2025-26. Students currently studying in Singapore from grades 5-8 are eligible to apply. The scholarship exam will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025.


Application period:
Now till Friday, February 28, 2025.

The examination will be given in the format of Multiple-choice Questions (MCQ). The MCQ test will consist of questions on English, Maths and Science, based on the subject proficiencies (grade 5-8), as per the current grade level of the student. The duration of the examination will be two hours.

The examination is scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Results will be declared by March 17, 2025.

Students who qualify for the scholarship must complete their admission registration with GIIS Singapore by March 31, 2025 for the scholarship to be awarded! T&Cs APPLY.

Terms and Conditions: 

  1. This scholarship is applicable to non-GIIS students in Singapore.
  2. The scholarship will be awarded, based on the qualification criteria, as shared on the website.
  3. All registrations will be done online. Any registration after the closure date will not be accepted.
  4. The details submitted on the registration form should be accurate, and any misrepresentation of data will lead to the disqualification of the student.
  5. This is an OMR test.
  6. Students will receive the examination details one week in advance through an email with information about student register number, subject code, date and venue of examination. The students are required to bring along a printed copy of this email on the examination day.
  7. Students must carry a photo identity proof on the examination day.
  8. Students need to be on time on the examination day. Latecomers will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
  9. GIIS reserves the discretion to disclose qualified scholarship recipients.
  10. The exam is scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2025.
  11. Location will be GIIS SMART Campus, 27 Punggol Fieldwalk, Singapore 828649.
  12. Students will have to arrive by 10:30am at Level 2 Visitors Centre at GIIS SMART Campus.

The results are scheduled to be announced within 7 working days of the exams. Students will be notified on terms of qualification and percentage of scholarship through email.

Yes. The scholarship is open only to non-GIIS students who can apply for the scholarship through a registration process.

Our scholarship programme operates on a reimbursement basis, ensuring that refunds are processed at the end of each academic term, based on the awarding period.

Our scholarships are not cumulative. Only the highest benefit is applicable at any given time.

At any given time, only one scholarship or discount will be extended to your child — whichever offers the highest value. The scholarship is non-transferrable. The scholarship is awarded to students who have participated in the examination and meet the required criteria.

Yes, parents are allowed to accompany students to the Registration Counter till Level 2 of GIIS SMART Campus.

Mark sheets from previous classes are not required for the entrance examination. However, upon qualifying for the scholarship and during the admission process, students may be asked to submit relevant documents.

Yes, students with special needs who possess cognitive capability are eligible for additional time during the exam. Upon submission of relevant documents, such students will receive an additional 30 minutes to complete the examination.

No, this examination is only for non-GIIS students. GIIS students will be considered for the GFRM Scholarship based on their final examination results for AY 2024-2025, along with other criteria evaluated by the scholarship committee. No application is required for this scholarship.
