Both current GIIS Tokyo students and new applicants in Grades 6 to 12 can apply, provided they meet the academic eligibility criteria for their grade band.

No. A student can hold only one fee-related benefit — either a subsidy or a scholarship — in a given academic year.

It applies to course fees only. Registration, transport, uniform and other miscellaneous fees are not included.

Yes, for two years, subject to the student maintaining results in line with their awarded category. Grade 11–12 students must reapply for a new scholarship cycle.

The scholarship offers an opportunity to students to have a meaningful learning experience that will prepare them to qualify for a place at reputable universities in the world for their undergraduate programmes of their choice, thus putting them on a superhighway to becoming a global citizen. All our students have proceeded to pursue higher education in reputed universities with nearly 80% getting admissions in Top 100 universities of the world and 50% getting scholarships for higher studies.

This exclusive scholarship is offered to a limited number of meritorious students. Students, including those studying in GIIS campus or new admissions, are eligible to apply.
