Frequently asked questions
Who can apply for the GFRM scholarship?
Both current GIIS Tokyo students and new applicants in Grades 6 to 12 can apply, provided they meet the academic eligibility criteria for their grade band.
Can I apply if I already receive another scholarship or subsidy?
No. A student can hold only one fee-related benefit — either a subsidy or a scholarship — in a given academic year.
Does the scholarship cover all fees?
It applies to course fees only. Registration, transport, uniform and other miscellaneous fees are not included.
Can the scholarship continue beyond the first year?
Yes, for two years, subject to the student maintaining results in line with their awarded category. Grade 11–12 students must reapply for a new scholarship cycle.
Ready to apply?
